Midtown members volunteered at Note in the Pocket sorting clothes in preparation for donations to local students in need.

Carolinas District Mid year conference was held in Myrtle Beach. Midtown was able to donate directly to the Black Mountain Kiwanis Club to help with restoration costs at their community thrift store, which is a primary revenue source for the club and a supply need for the community.

Our members volunteered to sort clothes for Note in the Pocket's Raleigh location. What a great organization that helps school aged children feel like they belong when there are financial limitations for clothing.

The Raleigh Midtown Kiwanis Club presented two computers to the Raleigh/Wake Composite Civil Air Patrol for their Cyber Program. The thank you letter was signed by all the Cadets that partook in the program plus the instructors. The presentation picture includes Capt Richard Hart ( Kiwanis member) Club president Susie Lamb - Tonnemacher and Lt Col Wellman. The two other pictures are of the Cadets with the instructors and computers.

The Raleigh Midtown Kiwanis Club continues their long tradition of reading to Kindergarten classes at Brentwood Elementary School. Richard Hart received a warm response from a student.

Midtown Kiwanis celebrated with Team Kicking Cancer as they earned the coveted LLS Student Visionary of the Year 2025 award with over $152,000 raised.

Raleigh Midtown continued their support for Wake Monarch Academy through donations and playing in their annual golf tournament fundraiser.

Midtown Kiwanis was represented by Blake & Stephanie Phillips at the Annual Torch Awards for the BBB. Congratulations to the 2 BBB Torch Scholarship winners sponsored by Midtown Kiwanis. Each winner will receive $1,000 in tuition assistance.

Midtown Kiwanis partnered with Rotarians for a Rise Against Hunger event in Wake County.

Our speaker today Sherry Shudra, Executive Director of Read & Feed shared the wonderful things this non profit is doing for literacy in the community. Currently they provide tutors and meals to 60+ schools in Wake County and plan to expand to 30 more schools in the coming year. Volunteers are always needed for donations of supplies, tutoring and logical work.

Midtown Kiwanis members represented at the annual Brentwood Elementary School Spring Carnival. We talked with parents and families about our work with Brentwood in the reading program and other areas connected to the PTA.

It was trail clean up day for Midtown Kiwanians. We have adopted the trail at Lake Lynn and continue our quarterly tradition of keeping our community clean of debris.

The final Brentwood Elementary School reading day has commenced for 2025. Our Midtown Kiwanians have enjoyed meeting and reading to kindergarten classes this school year. Of course, all children love to meet Bentley the awesome therapy dog.
