Our group served dinner to families staying at the SECU Family House January 20 & 21, 2020.  All hands were busy as we prepared food and talked with residents.

Midtown Kiwanis delivered funds and supplies to support return to school needs for children in rural areas of NC.

               

 

Girl Scout "Joy Kit" Donations

Midtown Kiwanis joined with a local Girl Scout project to create "Joy Kits" for children living in the Methodist Children's Home to have holiday gifts.  

                      

 

Optimist Park Clean up with Sanderson Key Club

Our members join with Key clubbers in cleaning Optimist Park.  The Sanderson Key club is sponsored by our Midtown Kiwanis club and we enjoy opportunities to support their service projects.

  

    

         

Salvation Army Bell Ringing

Our members participate in the annual bell ringing event.  We are grateful to be able to assist wonderful nonprofit groups in helping others.

 

       

Note in the Pocket

Our group assisted Note in the Pocket with clothes sorting.  This organization provides clothing to children in Wake County that need assistance as referred by their school administration.

                 

 

Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC

Our group assisted the Food Bank in February 2023 with the preparation of meals for families in need in our hometown .  We were able to join in packaging 19,000 meals.

 

Kiwanis Conventions

Midtown Kiwanis was well represented at our 2024 Mid Winter Carolinas Convention.  Our group learned about training, service and fellowship.

 

Worldwide Service Projects:

 

Eliminate:   In 2017 Midtown Kiwanis became a "Platinum Club" and has donated $25,500 to help eliminate tetanus as the killer of babies around the world. Our donation is saving over 14,000 lives of women and children.   KI has recognized members with Zellar awards for their support of this worldwide health initiative.
