May 2026

The Midtown Kiwanis Brentwood Readers finished up the year on Wednesday, May 20th at Brentwood Elementary.  They have been reading every first Wednesday of the month this school year to all kindergarten classes.  This Kiwanis program at Brentwood has been going on for over thirty yeas and has been a joy for our members and the students. It allows club members to go into the school and directly work with children and lets the students interact with adults other than their teachers.

Our members had the opportunity to fellowship with The Kiwanis Club of Raleigh.  Elaine Marshall was a dynamic speaker talking about Raleigh's connection to Moldova and the support we have been offering to their economy & infrastructure.

Regular Meeting

Our regular meeting speaker was Jeff Gonder with Rise Against Hunger.  Plans are underway for a joint Kiwanis Club meal packing event in the fall to increase interest in community engagement and help provide resources to individuals in need.
